Non-Food Based Alternative
How to Make Recycled Paper (+ Mould & Deckle DIY) – 10:30
Supplies: Recycled paper of any kind (newspaper, construction paper, scrap, gift wrap, tissue paper, etc.), blender, water, pantyhose, wire hanger, cookie sheets, towels or felt.
- Shred paper and place in blender with water. Blend.
- Bend a wire hanger into an open circle. Cut and stretch pantyhose over the wire to form a sieve.
- Place the sieve over a towel on top of a cookie sheet.
- Press a handful of paper pulp onto the top of the sieve, press out water with a towel or felt, and shape the pulp into paper.
- Move onto a paper plate to take home and dry.
